Smart Corps wins Elite Division at the Michigan SPPL Qualifier

The Smart Corps Factory team brings home another SPPL victory with the
SP-1 at the Michigan Qualifier.

September 16, 2008 – Loyalhanna, PA – Smart Corps Factory team, the
two-year reigning champions of the Scenario Player's Paintball League
secured their spot in this year's SPPL finals by winning the Elite
division in the series' Michigan qualifier event. Held at the world
famous Hell Survivors field in Pinckney Michigan, the qualifier put
teams head to head in the SPPL's unique competitive scenario format
utilizing hour long games on wooded fields with specific mission
objectives.

With the SPPL finals nearing, the qualifier saw intense competition as
teams fought for a rank that would earn their right to compete for the
championship at Georgia's Low Country Paintball on the 11th and 12th
of October.

The Smart Corps' lineup included players who are also some of the top
names from the 2-time NXL championship team Philly Americans, players
like Ryan Moorhead, Craig “Fatty” Daughtery, Jason Trosen and Tim
Montressor. Although they've shown they have what it takes to find
victory on turf, they are players who started in the woods and thrive
on that game. With the majority of the team wielding SP-1 markers, the
Smart Corps Factory team continued the winning streak that has made
them a powerful force in the league.

The SPPL has become synonymous with sportsmanship, quality reffing and
upstanding off-field camaraderie. The Masters division saw play on
one of Pinckney's most interesting fields, complete with a ridge line
that overlooks a valley from a 40 foot elevation. Tactics and
strategy were vital to success. The winners of the Sportsmanship
Award and the Masters Division, Failure to Flatline, garnered much
respect from the members of the Smart Corps.
