| I Am The Admin | Tippmann and HammerHead Form Strategic Alliance Tippmann Sports and HammerHead recently agreed to terms on an exclusive worldwide distribution program. The partnership brings an exciting new line of high-performance barrels into Tippmann’s arsenal while HammerHead gains exposure to thousands of retail doors through Tippmann’s distribution network. All HammerHead barrels distributed by Tippmann are designed to fit and complement the look of Tippmann’s existing 98 Custom, X7 and A-5 markers. The line of barrels is expected to be available at select paintball dealers beginning in November 2008. “By formalizing our relationship with HammerHead, we’re now clearly in position to offer the best crafted and most accurate paintball barrels to loyal Tippmann players around the world,” said Patrick Ehren, vice president of sales and marketing for Tippmann Sports. “We confirmed through our own internal tests that the accuracy and efficiency of the HammerHead barrels are unmatched in the industry. We’re certainly excited about the obvious distribution synergies that exist between our two companies, but we’re even more excited about the opportunities this relationship will create through the development of new barrel innovations down the road.” The HammerHead line consists of four barrels ranging in length from 8.5” to 16” and carry MSRPs starting at $69. Each barrel is gun-drilled and incorporates true rifling to enhance ball rotation for improved ball flight and unmatched accuracy. The barrels also include 2” sizers for optimal air efficiency and a reverse ported muzzle breaks to reduce air turbulence. “Simply put, these barrels incorporate proven technology that delivers in the field,” said Paul Judson, vice president of HammerHead. “Tippmann and HammerHead are an unbeatable combination. HammerHead’s scientifically proven technologies provide incredible accuracy, improved air flow and a distinctive look unlike anything else in the industry. And, of course, everyone is familiar with Tippmann’s legendary durability and unmatched performance. Without question, this is an ideal marriage that offers woodsball players the ultimate combination of accuracy and dependability.” The Tippmann/HammerHead alliance comes on the heels of the overwhelmingly successful launch of the Straightline Barrel, which the two companies developed and introduced collaboratively this past June. The Straightline – a 16” barrel featuring three seamless connection sizers and a removable, military style muzzle break – will continue to be available along with three other barrel offerings. The initial HammerHead line will include: 8.5” Shark Tooth
14” Battle Stikxx
16” Straightline
16” Bang Stikxx

as a follow up post: Tippmann to Showcase New Products and Promotions at World Cup Tippmann Sports and HammerHead are planning to distribute free, limited edition Shark Tooth Barrels during PSP World Cup in recognition of the worldwide distribution partnership recently formed between the two companies. One barrel will be given away at the Tippmann booth every hour from 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Over the five-day event, nearly 50 barrels will be given away free-of-charge and one winner will get a completely moded X7 marker of their choice. “We’re thrilled about our new relationship with HammerHead, and wanted to do something special for World Cup attendees,” said Patrick Ehren, vice president of sales and marketing for Tippmann Sports. “And, there are several other developments we plan to highlight during this year’s World Cup – including the release of new accessories for our A-5 and X7 markers and a highly-anticipated paintball video game for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation and PlayStation 3.” Any attendee of World Cup interested in trying the new Activision paintball video game is invited to stop by the Tippmann booth. The company is the exclusive scenario marker in the game, which will not be available to the general public until Nov. 18. The game will feature all Tippmann markers, a Tippmann scenario field and an unlockable X7 AK-style marker, which can only be used after players enter a special code from the Tippmann Web site. Several new accessories for Tippmann’s popular A-5 and X7 markers will also be launched at World Cup. A new, external e-Grip for Tippmann’s A-5 is being introduced, which is similar to the version currently available for the company’s X7. It features five external firing modes that can be changed on the fly as well as a Hall Effect trigger for ultimate ease-of-use and performance. Finally, the company will unveil two popular upgrades for its X7 marker, including a magazine expansion chamber and a non air-thru commando stock. The all-metal expansion chamber improves air efficiency and consistency and integrates seamlessly onto the X7. The non air-thru stock provides a realistic military appearance while also offering players enhanced stability.

Just as accurate as any other honed tube firing a gelitain ball. It isnt the barrel that is accurate, its teh person holding the gun. Granted a very crappy barrel will cause all sorts of issues, but any smooth well fitting barrel will produce similar results to any other barrel of the same quality.
