Non-Paintball Product Sponsorship "Bawls" for 2007 Season

The energy drink, "Bawls" is going to sponsor teams and give out drinks, and gear to the sponsored amateur teams in the NPPL (National Professional Paintball League).

After completing and submitting a simple application form located at http://www.PaintBAWLS.net , eligible teams will receive exclusive BAWLS-branded swag including lanyards, pods, hopper stickers, team profiles and regular updates on BAWLS.com. Players will also score sweet discounts towards the purchase of BAWLS hoppers available exclusively at Stinger Paintball Designs. Finally, sponsored teams will be given free cases of BAWLS Guarana and BAWLS water every day to stay hydrated at NPPL Super 7 events.

Personally, not a huge leap for the sport, but I do think it is a step in the right direction at getting away from "Paint" sponsors... to real Brick and Mortar sponsors. Getting sponsors outside the sport is really what will make this hobby sport of ours move forward.

How do we get Yuengling to sponsor the CC?

Seriously though, I agree about it being a good sign. Couldn't it be a less "Extreme" product though? I'm picturing those Skater dudes from Harold & Kumar + Paintball Guns.

Not to mention its owned by the company that makes all those fine Miller products. (At least the local distributer round here is Fahre Beverage and they bring all the beer)

They make good stuff. I had so much of it at NPPL Boston it was rediculous.

Yes... they were. They are going to be the OFFICIAL drink of the NPPL for 2007, and they're offering good deals to amateur teams to boot.

Bawls already supports some of the Anime cons that ive seen / wored at, they like to reach out and hit other "fringe" areas.
