So if you're under 18, and playing paintball in CT, you need eye protection. Don't even think about playing paintball without a mask if you're playing renegade ball with your friends. It's now against the LAW!!!! ????? Also, for the fields. Yeah, you fields that have insurance, and stuff. You need to now have this thing called a "safety meeting" before letting anyone under 18 play paintball. I don't know what we would have done without our representatives in CT... It's a good thing they're there for you. /sarcasm State law to bolster paintball game safety- The New Haven Register - Serving Greater New Haven, CT ... On a serious note, while what they did isn't a bad thing, it's the wrong step into trying to regulate a sport that didn't need regulation, because, well... It's for the safety of the children right?

Maybe they can get your state politicians to pass a law requiring all of them, to add riders, and pork barrel projects to all the bills too. Just for the children`s sake.  Please note the deep sarcastic interlude.

Between the hours spent deliberating, political hacks meeting for luncheons and golf rounds to "discuss" it, and the thousands of pounds of paper used for drafting, revising, publishing, etc.....I wonder what the true cost was to the taxpayers for this useless piece of legislation that plays on the fears of the ignorant, and proclaims what "new" practices must happen...when in reality, they already are. Gee, imagine that...the peasants already thought for themselves...

Our insurance policy requires all new players must go through " Safety Briefing" before playing. This is also done once a year at a "refresher" course for us referees. It does not matter how old you are, before you step foot out of staging you must watch this video. The video is really good, and is the Blues Crew safety video.
