VERY good points. My field insurance will not allow this round anyway if it is not bio-degradeable.

Possum (for some reason the quote function isn't working for me at the moment):

In regards to bringing FS to an FPO field: unless the field specifically allows it, it's cheating and grounds for ejection just as if you brought in a couple cases of cheap white box paint you ordered online.

I'm told by a teammate who was there that at the last few Viper events, they were allowed in under the FPO rule because one of the vendors was selling them at the events. That's really the only way I could see them working at FPO games.

As far as the milsim aspect, I just like markers that look like guns (but I like firearms that look like guns too, so that's ok).
I like limited-paint markers because I'm cheap and I like the challenge. I much prefer sneaking around the back to blasting cases of paint downrange. I don't play "milsim style", and I could care less how anyone else on the field is playing. I just happen to like the equipment, so this marker is aimed square at me.

It's been stated many times that this round is bio-degradeable. The fins degrade in sunlight per Tom Kaye on AO.

See, I hate to tie that term to this beauty, as there is nothing "sim" about this marker.
Everything on there is functional and it looks the way it does because it was designed, for lack of a better term right now, to be milspec and similar to the gear LEO was already using.
It does not have useless **** bolted on there for the sake of looking like something it's not, it just is that way.
It's tactical, just like the tac one (for example) is tactical but I don't want to label it as milsim because of all the connotations that has.

Especially for woodsball, though, I can see these being a huge advantage in the right hands. I'd love to use one as the perfect sniper weapon, because the term would actually apply. Usually I'm out there with a pump taking potshots at 150ft... I can't imagine how amazing it would be to throw down at 300 feet. It'd actually be possible to remain concealed at that range.
Like I said, I'd like to see something like a DAO-12. 8-10" barrel, drum mag, perhaps the ability to feed the mag from the ejection port?

I think a FS round in an apex or flatline barrel would cause a division by zero error and implode the universe.

Then we could ALL see the paintball at the beginning of time!

your first statement I agree with 100%, it is cheating/stealing unless specifically stated by the event producer and/or the field. I was not aware of any FS being sold at LL2, yet i know they were floating around. I also did not hear any announcement by Viper allowing their use. thus even if they were available to be purchased at the event no one publicly stated they were equal to the paint being used in the event.

very good point about this marker, it does not really try to mock the look as you noted (with Sh## slapped on, to cover the toy look), I think the market for this marker is the one that wants the look and function without it being a ton of parts that give it a false appearance to what it really is. i personally don't think this marker is for me because it looks to real and would drain the fun. (i like my paintball game to stay fun not serious, thus i don't mind the markers that don't look to real)
