So on your average open play day do you think it would be more challenging to play with one of these pistols or a stock class gun?

Stock class gun. Having a semi-auto gun, even if you only have 8rnds(like, on a T8 or TPX) makes things WAY easier. Instead of having to pump and screw up your aim, you can just unload on a guy if he's right there. It also makes bunkering a lot easier.

Simunitions are expensive, alot of departments are using paintball and in some cases airsoft for training. If promoted right(not to paintballers hoping word would spread to police) these could actually take off and do very well. There is definatly a market for it, they are just advertizing wrong.

Simunition is like 30 cents a shot, not all that pricey when thinking with nigh unlimited tax payer funded budgets. I know we won't use anything but simunition for training because paintball is not the same. Simunition uses real weapons, has the recoil, has the audible bang, and smells like a real gun. Why train with something that doesn't react like your every day carry weapon?

I think the real market is wannabe tactical folk and not real LEOs, because real LEOs use simunition.

Nigh unlimited? Most departments(around here anyway) can barly get by. Of all the departments I've trained with only one of them uses simunition, and even then its a rarity. Most of them use paintball, and one uses airsoft because they can't afford to use simunitions. Simunitions are definatly the best training available, but most departments either don't use them or don't use them much because of the price.

Side note I didn't realize you were a police officer, learned something new.

I'm not. I have a summer gig with FLETC in the training and innovation division.

I was at my local store today, and even though they run a Field Paint Only field, they will accept .43 caliber paint if the player is shooting one of the Kingman pistols. They also carry the .43 Kingman paint.
A tad weird, but if it helps their buisiness...?

I hate Kingman for what they're doing with these. They went and made the whole focus of their company right now on these stupid pistols. They even changed the PBN subforum name from "Kingman" to "Spyder" so they could start an unnecessary one called "Kingman Training"....WHY?!

The 08 Electra was a big hit and Spyders were finally starting to get the respect they need, so what does Kingman do? Turn a complete 180 and put all their effort into making pistols - in a different caliber, no less!

They really messed up with this one. They should have improved the 08 Electra design, made it even lighter and tighter, sold it for a good price and made lots of money.
