| Active Member | Louvered foregrips I know that some of the Typhoon and Hurricane owners have foregrips like these, but was curious if any Blazer owners do? I was throwing around the idea of doing this to my Typhoon foregrip when I still owned it, but forgot or lost intereste in doing so. Now that I am thinking about getting a Blazer again and I would like to have a foregrip on this one, so I was curious if this would even be worth exploring? If it would take away too much structurely from the foregrip or would just ruin it I can see why, but if it were possible I think it would look great for those who have a brass or nickled barrel. ![]()

| Supernatural Anaesthetist | I believe the ones used on Typhoons are SL-68 pump grips that have been drilled out to fit the lower tube. The one they sell for the Blazer looks like a different animal altogether. I'm sure you could mill or cut "rings" out of it so the barrel showed through without affecting the structural composition of it. Yeah, maybe it won't be as rigid or strong as before, but think about how much (or, rather, how little) stress that piece is under in normal usage. It's just there and you hold it. You're not actively moving it back & forth, so I think it'd be fine. ![]() |

| Active Member | Okay, maybe I should have clarified a little bit more. I know what the stock foregrip looks like, but I was curious if anyone has pics of a Blazer foregrip that has beed louvered. I was asking for a pic in reference to russc post about Palmer himself has one on his Blazer.

| Red=Moderator Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Schen. NY | If you mean by drilling through to expose the barrel...then no, that's only done on the 'phoons.... I have the sl-68 grip on my blazer (just like in the pic posted by wycke) and the only thing that gets modified from the original grip is to mill a portion out so that it slides around the asa, so that the grip won't rotate around the barrel. They are very comfy though. E PS - The grip that "Mr. Palmer" uses himself looks exactly like the one in Wycke's pic.

| Active Member | hmmm...I may have to be the first if I think I can do it effectively without ruining the grip. And thanks Schmitti, that was the answer I was looking for.

| Retro grouch Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Lynn, Ma | I milled mine for my former two phoons differently. You can have Palmers do it, or you can take a stab at it yourself with a saw and a file.
