| Seasoned Member | Blazer Safety ? So I'm going to a "big game" on Sunday and I'm checking over things. I pick up my Blazer and the safety falls out. Jay |

Mine will stick... leaving the safety on even when disengaged. I have to rotate it (the safety button) sometimes to get it to work properly. Been meaning to go back to PPS and ask them about this little issue. Other than that... Blazers for the win. Here's a diagram of the bits in the Blazer. Make sure none have gone AWOL. i.e. 62. Safety 63. Safety Ball 64. Safety spring/rubber 65. Safety spring screw http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/techpa...az_diagram.htm |

| Spread The Virus | Not sure on the single trigger models but,the double trigger Blazers require the safety to function properly,it limits the trigger travel.Without it you'll pull the trigger too far and damage the cam that actuates the 4-way valve.

| Every Dog has its Day | When you need a safety on the blazer. Unlock the bolt from the Ram and put a barrel bag on the barrel. My safety fell out a few years ago when I had the sheridan frame. I used to carry around a rubber band and would loop it around the eblow and the bolt knob(when the bolt was unhooked) to act as a safety. It worked fine for me. The gun would only be able to fire one shot and couldnt recock but more importantly, my paint wouldnt fall out of the back of the gun. If you do use this idea, just make sure that when you reconnect the bolt, there isnt an extra paintball or 2 in the breech. Also, in my opinion, safety buttons are useless. If you use a barrel bag(or plug) always and have enough control over yourself to keep your finger off the trigger, or gun degassed then you should be OK. I was always taught that mechanical safeties on a gun should never be trusted. This is just my opinion though, and many fields may require a button safety. | MCB Member | I use my safety a lot on my markers. I never even put one into storage without having the safety on. and for good reason. Most people who use marker marker ALWAYS have to ask me to take the safety off because they "can't get the trigger to work". My point is, if a safety stops someone who knows how to play from doing something stupid, it can most definitely stop someone who doesn't know what they are doing. |
