| MCB Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Los Angeles | Blazer anno question So for months now, I have been pricing out my dream blazer, thinking about it, daydreaming about it, dreaming about it... I will let your mind wander... Anyways, I was talking to someone at the shop, IIRC Lori, about my pricing, but I think I had too many questions, as she didnt respond to my last two emails. Fair enough, I figure, the internets are at my disposal, might as well bug a group of fanatics rather than a busy employee. I want to go all out, I rarely can afford new nice markers, so I want to make this one that will be special. Go big or go home, ya? So I am going for a custom anno, male stab, standard sheridan frame, and UMB. The main marker body and gripframe I would like to be one color (its a suprise, not telling), and then some highlights of another color, I was thinking the vertical ASA, stab, bottomline ASA, TruDial, and other tidbits being said second color. Are all those able to be ordered as a special anno without killing my price? They would all be a solid color. I don't want to pay an excessive amount of money by having these small things annoed. Is there more I can add? Master link, bolt? Are they normally annodized anyways? I know reapermen's woodland blazer has the bolt annodized, but that was a special batch. Also, the standard sheridan style frame, it comes with those super comfy PMI grips, right? And it's not pot metal, ie, it can be annodized, right? How strong is the UMB? 20 ounce tank on a rail/ASA should be fine, right? Thanks fellas! Oh one more, you can have a blazer sprung for high pressure, right? It's completely fine? It would be much louder, correct? I love loud markers

The standard Sheridan frame is potmetal and I've only seen it in black paint. I doubt it can be annodized. If you want the grip frame to match, you'd have to step up to the .45 frame which is going to jack up the price even more. I can't give you exact numbers, though.

| Hawaiian-shirted hooligan | The newer Blazers are set for lower pressure/higher volume than the 1k Blazers, so to make it louder, I would suggest an Air America Intimidator, aka "Loudener".

| Supernatural Anaesthetist | Any custom anodizing is going to cost if it's a non-standard color. By non-standard, I mean a color that they've not made other Blazers in. For example, if you wanted a green body and a red highlights (ASA, VA, grip, stab, etc), it'll cost less than getting it anodized to match a color that you specify. At any rate, your best bet for an economical, yet colorful Blazer, is to check their Blazers on hand page. If you see one that's mostly the color you want, they will more than likely swap individual parts out, for a fee. Palmer's motto is "Custom Still Means Something", which would be more accurate if they added "and that something is $$$$" to it. I don't think their prices are really outrageous, at least compared to some other custom shops or airsmiths. But, there again, PPS understands and abides by timelines and schedules, something that a lot of airsmiths do not... PS: for true loudness, go with an 8" unported barrel. It'll be more of a "bark" than a "bang", but it's nicely loud... |

I just played a scenario game with a AA loundener on my blazer, it was the loudest thing on the field it was great. I let a young kid borrow it cause his Ion went down, and I could here my gun being fired from across the field. |

| Every Dog has its Day | the stock frame is pot metal which CANNOT be annodized(only comes in black), only the upgraded 45 frame can be annoed. No UMB is needed for a blazer. Yes, PMI grips are included. Bolts are usually annoed the smae color as the body. Why dont you just call lori. It will take 5 mins to answer all these questions and they are 100% correct if they come from her. |

Potmetal, yes. But if you don't mind black, it's great--the powdercoat (or whatever) is so thick and smooth I thought it was plastic at first. And my bolt's bare aluminum. Just a note.
