I used to feel the same way, but the SP wood grips are really a very nice product. I have two green .45's and a brown Sheridan style. SP already got the money for any of the wood grips you're likely to come across, so it's not like you'd be contributing to lining the Gardner's pockets . . .

Aside from that, you'll probably have to look into grips for real .45's.

Yeah, I kinda hate the fact that they're made by SP. My only consolation is that they were probably not manufactured by SP, just distributed by them. Besides, as was already pointed out, they stopped making them ages ago and have long since made their money on any that you find for sale nowadays. Buying a pair from me or anyone else isn't lining the Gardners' pockets. And on top of that, they're soooo damn comfortable!

FWIW, whoever made the old PMI wood grips (for Sheridan frames) is still making them. Remember, there are countless airguns out there that use that same grip frame. If you hit up a few of the sites that sell Crosman airguns, I'm sure you can find some. They won't have the milled PMI logo, but they're still made of wood and come in right- and left-handed versions. I bought a left-handed pair a few years back for a P68-SC I had...I think they were about $20 shipped? I can't recall where I got them, but I know it was an online store that specialized in airguns and pellet rifles.

Awesome! I still have a single trigger sheridan frame on my Blazer. I'll have to to look into finding a site with Crossman airguns. Thanks!

When reffering to a "Sheridan frame" it is safe to assume that they'll fit all older brass Sheridan, and other PPS Sheridan frames like the ones found on the SS, Pug and so on. Right?
I have been looking for a set of those for cute wittle Pug :::::::

Just a side note to this look at your frames! The Sheridan frames angle up in the back where the WGP/AGD and current Palmers frames the bottom runs parallel to the top. If you get the get the grips for AGD etc and try to put them on a Sheridan frame you will have an overhang where if your use Sheridan grips on the current frames they will leave the bottom of the frame exposed.
