2k Blazer o-ring knowledge-base

There doesn't seem to be a definitive source of o-ring sizes on the 2k Blazer so I'm starting the thread.

Sizes and materials courtesy of The Man himself, Craig Palmer!

2. ASA O-ring (qty 2 012)
5. Plunger O-ring (qty 1 112)
9. Switch cup O-ring (qty 4 046x.224)
10. Switch stem O-ring (qty 2 003)
15. Valve guide O-ring (qty 2 015)
24. Ram piston bumper (inner, qty 1 010)
25. Ram piston O-ring (qty 1 011)
28. Ram bushing O-ring (outer - qty 1 012)
29. Ram bushing O-ring (inner) 010
38. Rock Seal (O-ring?) (qty 1 - size/material/durometer?)
68. Rock Valve Body O-ring (upper) (qty 1 015)
69. Rock Valve Body O-ring (lower) (qty 1 012)

Totals:
046x.224 - qty 4
003 - qty 2
010 - qty 2
011 - qty 1
012 - qty 4
015 - qty 3

90 durometer in these materials:
  • Viton
  • Polyurethane
  • EPDM
All test well with CO2, although each ages differently.

You can even get high dollar nylon encapsulated or fiberglass impregnated rings. (spendy)

You will find Viton at most automotive shops. Stay away from buna o-rings. Buna is cheap natural rubber and absorbs CO2 and other chemicals, drying up and cracking.

I think a few of the orings are the same in the Brass markers as they are in the Blazers/Pyres ...

*nods*

I'm open to this becoming a "PPS o-ring & screw knowledge base" but only have a Blazer to work with for now. Any input welcome.

I can't attach the file directly because of attachment size limitations but here's a link to a useful tool:

It's an o-ring sizing chart, courtesy of "Earthy" here on the forum!

You can use viton, polyurathane, or EPDM in 90 durometer.. All test well with CO2.. Although Each ages differently.

You can even get high dollar nylon encapsulated or fibergass impregnated rings but the cost of a ring kit alone would be worth more than some of the guns out there.

You will find viton at most automotive shops.

Awesome! Thanks for the information - just one question: what's wrong with the buna-n o-rings?
