A bad day...

Friday night I tested out all my markers and made sure they were working. The Blazer was shooting excellent. Fast forward to Saturday morning and all three of the markers I brought failed to work, including the Blazer. This was the first time anything ever happened to it. I went to air it up and it would leak out of the pressure relief holes on the vertical asa along with the pressure relief on the rock reg. I backed the adjustment screw all the way out and it would stop leaking but if I screwed it in at all it would start leaking again.

I took everything apart and put it back together which seemed to fix it. I played for a game or two and it was working perfectly fine. Then the trigger started to mess up. I now have to push the trigger forward or it leaks and doesn't cock.

I just aired it up again and it's leaking out of the front asa area.

What's wrong?

Hmm...

My blazer once started leaking from the ASA mounted on the front of the marker.

One of the seals there had gone bad. I eventually got it fixed though. I didn't have an o-ring the right size but I had one that was just too small so I put some DYE lube on it to swell it, put it in and it works great to this day.

The front ASA is probably just an o-ring.

But with the trigger issues, it sounds like your baby may be in store for a trip back to the creator.

It's not going back again for a while as I just got it back a couple months ago. I unscrewed the asa and put it back together again, it worked. The orings must have reset or the heat difference between outside and inside may have had some effect. There is a large gap in the timing though, I'm debating whether or not to mess with it.

Alright, another question: I followed Sgt. Spam's timing guide and set the sear. When I release the trigger the hammer catches but after that it will leak for half a second or longer before the bolt moves forward. How do I go about fixing that?

Steps in the trigger pull:
1. hammer release, shoots
2. bolt moves halfway back
-air leaks out from front of trigger frame between steps here
3. bolt moves all the way back
Trigger release:
1. bolt and hammer move forward a bit to cock
-air leaks out of front asa
2. bolt moves all the way forward

Send a PM to Jackson. He's the only person I know of who has succesfully timed a Blazer.

As you pull the trigger slowly, and release it slowly, you'll notice more venting from the switch area than if you were to pull quickly and release quickly. The venting is the air being redirected.

Once the sear releases the hammer, you should have a little trigger movement before the switch starts to activate. Once the switch starts to activate and is completely engaged, the bolt should come all the way back without stopping. If it's catching half way and then coming back, there may be something binding or you may need to check the bellcrank adjustments.

As you release slowly, the switch moves again, venting, and the bolt should start to come forward. The hammer should catch on the sear and then complete the forward motion.

I've gotten a little 'extra' venting during cold days, and usually just add a little more oil..

PM me if you want my cell number - I'd be happy to chat with you about it.

It sounds like a bad seal in the transfer valve(I forget what PPS calls it on the blazer), quick switch maybe.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look at it a bit more. What I'm really worried about is the exhaust that was coming from the front ASA. Nothing I did seemed to fix it and it was very random.

Edit: I'm not talking about the normal exhaust, this was a full out leak like the tank was emptying out the front asa.
