| Active Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: North Alabama | I am getting a Houndstooth, my first PPS. I called and they say it isn't too late to add 10 letters for $42. First, how bad is the resale value afterwards, I don't ever PLAN on selling it, not after almost 500 bucks start price and who know what I'll add later. But ya never know. Second, what should it say? I though about my name, or my team name, Black Widows. Maybe something like silver streak or silver bullet, cause it's nickel plating and will be silver. I love the Hulk, but in my mind, that should be a custom green nasty HT or Typhoon (maybe even a Hurricane). I started with a brass eagle blade, and was pretty good with it. People even called me blade for a while, till it broke. Would it be too cruel to call it "Blade Two" ? Give me some ideas, what should I do? Is it worth it? |

For example, you mentioned naming a green nasty HT or Hurc "The Hulk". I wouldn't mind that because it's fitting and not specific to the person who bought it so much as it describes the marker. Ultimately, you decide. Maybe just get it engraved on a sight hood that could be removed?

I wanted to start small with my first PPS, and go from there. I Don't think I like the idea of my name, but naming the gun does seem to be a better choice, any ideas for a nickel HT name? I am gonna look at some marvel names and see if I see anything that sticks out..... |

| ...isn't free Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: jerzzeeee shore! | you can order the sight hood later. it's a slip fit addition... and won't cost much... call PPS and ask about engraving a sight hood... you do not want to engrave the marker itself... have you ever seen the "loverboy" blazer? ![]() |

| Delving into Satinism | Well, it depends on how special the marker is to you. Pick something that is YOURS, and make sure you are either a wicked gunwhore, or it is something that everyone will have to pry from the cold dead hand of your reanimated corpse as you struggle to eat their brains. Just think about it and when the correct name comes to mind you will know it. If not, it is not meant to be.

| Post Whore Join Date: Apr 2006 | Road warrior is written on my nasty phoon, Now for me I didnt mind as it dropped the price down a noticable amount. But I almost bought another one that was more expensive and no engraving. So yeah if you want to have it engraved make sure its a gun you want to keep or else youre gonna take a hit at resale. The sight hood engraving is a nice option in that should you ever sell the gun you can keep the hood and put it onto something else. |
