| digruntled worker Join Date: Mar 2006 | If I understand correctly from My e-mails from Craig, The "D" stands for duplicate. There are a certain amount of blazers out there (about 20 or so) That have duplicate numbers. Also, by my take on Craig's response, is that the only duplicate numbers are on the CP and/or the Lori blazers. When I called and asked about my bz, I was told that a guy named Dave had that bz. Craig looked up the file and noted that He still, for all intents and purposes still has "that" bz and his is the signature piece. (marked with a "D") I would venture a guess that the numbering systems would be unique to the specific model or marker (which could make a HT and a pug have the same sn) Direct from my email short and sweet. Here's my theory; PPS sent a bunch of raw bodies off to two or three different annodizers after polishing in house. Different employess and a certain fondness for leafage lead to duplicate serial numbers being applied to bodies. These same numbers had been applied to those batches launched to the new annodizers and then PPS forgot to mark them off or something. As it happens, I found my "D" brother... BZ2096 is owned by a fellow on the POG team and it is one of the most dazzling green wash type anno. Sorta like a Lori, but green. I think you'll find that most of the non-"D" guns are gonna turn out to be some of the more wildly anno'd Blazers. Of course, there will be exceptions, like Al's which is a wildly anno'ed gun with a "D". Go figure. There are more than 20 Signature model guns, if you are counting GP/Paladin's Pride guns, as they have been selling those for years. As for the Craig and Lori versions, twenty guns sounds about right. D. |

The only one I know of that even came with them was the personal gun CP sold with the hole in the grips. Although I dont doubt that some folks may have requested the low pressure internals setup. They are available in the form of "tinkers kit" on the PPS website. Lori blazers are blue, the green blazers have a similar anno pattern to the lori blazer but are just a good looking green anno <unless I am wrong and i dont think I am> And GP blazers are paladins pride, black right fed nickel highlights dual nickel stabs, nickel barrel, standard frame, and his sig All of the sig blazers have signatures, hence the name. The signature series kind of reminds me of sports motorcycles. When Honda releases the "Super racing pro version exact replication of the racing motorcycle" it is sort of a sig series, not exactly exactly what they used for racing, but pretty close, and close enough to be way cooler than normal versions. A CP sig series just may be smoother than a normal blazer because he just might hand pick the parts to work best with eachother, he may get the best bodies he can find and cut them up instead of a normal body. The guns obviously get more time, so they get better MoJo - not to mention the fact if someone says "this gun is positively smoother than that one" your inclined to think "i like how my gun is the smoothest" even if there is no difference, it just feels good. |
