What makes it a Signature series

May be a silly question, but...
I know there's a Glenn Palmer, Craig Palmer, and a Lori. (any other?)
What makes them different than any other?

Look and feel, accessories, and anno....

I once asked Glenn the question about the CP Sig. Series:

Quote:
Out of curiosity, is there any performance change with the CP Edition compared to a similarly equipped standard Blazer? Or just milling and anno??
His answer was:

Quote:
I wouldn't say that there is any real "performance" difference though the look and feel is different. Still, they are very nice looking.....
When I asked Craig, his answer was:

Quote:
Most people won’t notice the difference, but the CP blazers tend to be a little smoother.

I think the only signature model that is still available from PPS is the "Paladin's Pride" model with GP's signature on it. That one is a right feed BZ with nickel highlights, dual Stabs and a traditional single-trigger pistol grip. I think it also has a ported(?) 12" barrel with a front sight pin and a foregrip.

The Craig Sig Series, no longer available from PPS, was a really wild looking black and silver anno and special milling and low pressure internals, among other features. I think Chaos has one of these. Check his gallery.

[edit] Here is a pic of the CP series that belongs to Chaos:

The Lori Sig Series was green, I think, or maybe blue in a splashy anno. It too had some special milling, but I think it was basically pretty stock internally. I cannot recall exactly. Again, this one was a short run item that is no longer available, to the best of my knowledge.

Give PPS a call and ask. They may be willing to do the CP or Lori series guns on a per order basis, I am not sure.

Good luck,
D.

Hm. I seem to remember Craig saying that there would be another CP Sig. Series, bit that it would look completely different from the previous run. I'm guessing that the twins put that idea on the backburner for the time being.

Freedom, did that gun have Lori's signature on it? I have never seen one like that up close.

Off-topic, but why do some people type "Lori" in all caps?

Some people use the anagram for her full title:

IIRC There were some Lori Blazers done in green and some in blue...I've seen pics of both,I'll look around and see if I can find them.

As for the CP one as noted above they are milled quite a bit more than the others. Also according to Firepro there were roughly only 10-12 CP ones made.

And yes I still own mine,it's my baby and would be too hard to replace. It just came back from PPS,for some reason the trigger isn't anywhere near as smooth as it was and the 4-way was somewhat sticky on arrival.I fixed the stickyness but,it's still doesn't seem the same...May have to send it back again..
