| the MilD MOD | Rebuild Typhoon lpr reg? The reg on my Typhoon is leaking and I'm trying to decide if I want to try rebuilding it myself or send it to PPS. This is the older style rock too (sub 300 serial number Typhoon). I'd appreciate hearing oppinions from those who have attempted to rebuild rock regs. Thanks. |

This is of course that your UEF fitting and hose is ok there first.... That phoon is old enough to consider a full rebuild. I just did a hurc form 1991, it gets scary in there after 15 or so years.

| Administrator Join Date: May 2006 Location: Trenchtown | Do a quick search for Jay Beam's exploded Hurricane pic. I have it somewhere if you can't find it, but I see it all over. The trouble with that pic or any exploded diagram you are liable to find is that these are hand made guns. If you have an older Typhoon, there is a considerable variety of bit that can be found within that lower tube. Similarly, if you have a newer Typhoon here (the LPR and such had been pretty much standardized by the mid-90's) it will not look like the guts in Jay's Hurc pic as his is an old one. That said, crack her open and keep track of the order in which things come out. Even for a dolt like me, there is a certain amount of logic and common sense involved in the layout of the LPR guts. Good luck and keep us posted. D. |
