| Rec Poster Join Date: Oct 2006 | Barrel options Hi! I'm looking for a new barrel for my blazer. So far the options are really scarce. Ive considered 4 main options: 1-Lapco from PPS 2-Stiffi for Blazer (hard to find) 3-Barrel kit 4-Or a milled barrel to fit the blazer. The first barrel is a good option. From pps they told me it has a .688 bore. The stiffi is my top choice, but a bit pricey, hence im looking for a used one. The barrel kit is the hardest one to find. I've considered buying a kit and milling to fit the blazer, but honestly, dont know where to start looking. Which thread is the easiest to be turned to a Blazer thread? Angel? Cocker? Is the cocker adapter a real option? or with the fronts and backs and adapters the accuracy is lost? All opinions are as always welcome. Thanks! |

| MCB Member | blazer stiffis suck. bores are too large, they havea square finished end that the bolt enters which hangs on flat rings and makes it all 'clicky' stiffi/ccm switch kit for angel turned to fit blazer with alumn sizing backs is a much betteer notion.

Another question: If i get a stiffi for any make, could i just cut the barrel next to the thread? Whats the difference in OD sizes? Last edited by Martelo; 03-16-2007 at 12:47 PM.. |

| The Destroyer Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (n'at) | Oh, I have some Blazer barrels...probably not as many as Chaos, but more than enough The only problem I've ever had with the Stiffi barrels is "roll out". I believe both of mine are .688 and as far as I know, that's the only ID available for the Blazer. If you could stamp wedgits into carbon fiber, this would be my favorite barrel. The bore size is the main reason that I don't use them very often. They're unbelievably light, well ported and quiet (if you're into that). The ones that I have are a loose fit in the Blazer body, but that was resolved with a small piece of tape. I would't recommend trying to cut down a carbon fiber barrel. If you have a blazer barrel in front on you, you'll notice that though there aren't threads, the part of the barrel that inserts into the gun is milled down a bit from the rest of the barrel. Simply cutting the off the threads wouldn't get you what you want. I recently fell in love with a Dye boomstick cut down for a 2k Blazer. Wow. I have a PPS adapter to accept Cocker barrels. While using this, I didn't notice any degradation in efficiency or accuracy. Seems to do the job correctly. I use the adapter with my cocker threaded boa concealer and Apex barrels Martelo, what kind of barrel are you using now? Last edited by MadCat; 03-16-2007 at 01:24 PM.. |

| Spread The Virus | I tried a Stiffi on mine,I found it was very light but, didn't like most of the paint I use.If you're going to turn down a barrel or kit to fit the best candidate is one for an older style Angel, though it's not a must.
