| MCB Member | body is "hinked." most hinking occurs when someone tightens the barrel retention screw like an animal....with no barrel installed. Unhinking in the most kind way consists of removing retention screw completely. Take bare brass barrel..ideally. oil or grease said barrel. insert carefully and firmly twist gently reinstall retention screw. tighten carefully. untighten remove barrel, clean mess. should be fixed. additional unhinking requires some careful leverage to the body and is left as a last resort as to avoid anno damage. another option is bare brass barrels turned to fit, or a dye/lapco/etc barrel turned to fit said hinked blazer.

The problem is one side of the retaining clamp is essentially "twisted" That make a little more sense now that I tried your fix. It inserts just enough to hit the "hink" in the clamp where the tube straightens ont the barrel and forces it to bind on the hink.

As near as I can see, it is a series of rings in the bore area that grabs it up. Here's the wierd part; I have a PPS barrel (8"2k) that fits my gun smoothly but with some resistance. That same barrel literally falls into Whisker's gun without any resistance at all. A similar 8" PPS barrel, that absolutely will not go into Whisker's two Blazers fits my Blazer almost better than the first barrel. That one has me scratching my head.... D/ |

Hey Mike I'll drive down and we can beat on your gun with a drilling hammer after we have put it in a large vice and cranked it tight...that should fix it. Seriously, Blazers have nice tolerances... this one is hinked as all described. Personally, I'd rather not try to un hink aluminum with a thin walled brass tube... the aluminum is going to win if it's hinked badly..... But your's doesn't sound like it's hinked too badly. E
