Blazer barrel problem

You see, it's like this.
I have several barrels now for my blazer.
The problem that I am having is that only 2 that actually "fit" the gun right.
they insert only about 3/4 of an inch. (Just passed the clamp)
1- lapco bigshot (doesn't fit)
1- dye boom stick (fits nice)
1- 8" palmer brass (doesn't fit at all)
1- 10" palmer brass (doesn't fit)
1- 12"palmer brass that came with the gun. (fits beautiful)

I know it's not the clamp, as they all go into and just passed the clamp.
None of them look out of round.
Since they all should have the same diameter...any barrel "should" fit any gun.
What am I missing?

Hmm. Did they ever fit? Maybe there's just some gunk in there? I dunno, that's really weird.

I've seen that diagram numerous times (thanks anyway)
No gunk, gun is brand new, only saw the field once.
The palmer barrels look brand new.

Your barrel mounting clamp is too tight and needs to be opened up some on your Blazer. A 2k Blazer should take any barrel correctly adapted for any Blazer, especially the PPS brass.

I assume that when you say the barrels do not fit, you mean they are tight and do not want to slide all the way in (without serious resistance).

Aluminum (the body) and brass (the barrel) do not get along that well together and I find that sometimes, long contact will sometimes result in a residue buildup. Make sure the inside of the body is clean using some oil and a rag.

If that isn't it, then you want to use something to expand the barrel mounting clamp some. You can use a barrel if you want. I would start with the barrels that almost fit and then stretch that mount some until the tighter barrels fit also.

Good luck,
D.

The clamp is what I looked at first. I really don't think it is the clamp though.
When I insert a barrel it only inserts about an inch ,which is well passed the clamp. I even tried to spread the clamp out while inserting the barrel. It hitgs the same point and stops.
I tried you second suggestion of cleaning inside. No residue and still no fit.
I am going to call on Monday out to PPS and ask.
Are PPS blazers covered under lemon laws?

Any of the barrels that don't fit black spiral ported brass? I'm looking for one!

Obviously you're not holding your tongue in the correct position while inserting the barrels!

You've tried rotating the barrels to a new orientation relative to the Blazer before inserting, correct? What about gently twisting while inserting?
