PGP quickstrip bolt question

I plan on sending in my PGP for a performance tune and ultra-quickstrip and I wanted to know: when PPS replaces the bolt for the UQS, do they install bolt detents (I was told this was the name for the ball bearings/spring that keeps the bolt closed), or will I need to specify that I want them?

Ok here is a bit of info. PPS bolts dont need the BBs inside the bolt like normal PGPs do. They get rid of them completely and give you a brand new palmers bolt. I dont even think it is an option.

If I was you, I would recommend getting the "PGP Upgrade". The Palmerized PGP I have, had that upgrade. Mine has an Ultra Quick strip, new barrel, new top tube and a center fire bolt. When PPS put the new barrel on it, they didnt put BB holes because they were not needed.

With what it must have cost you for that magnificent upgrade on your PGP, couldn't you have just spent a little more, and had them build you a Pug?

Pugs are more gas efficient, IMHO. But, I have a PGP that has been redone like the one in the picture and it is a fabulous shooter.

If you have a rebarreling job done on any tube magazine gun, ask about having the top tube replaced with a 15 round size. There's plenty of room on the longer barrel. I have a PMI I that was converted like that and I love having the extra capacity. P

Exactly how many shots above 280fps are we talkin. My Pug doesn't seem that capeable with barely ten shots at above 280, than collapses fast after that.

So, you say the Palmer's bolt won't need detents? Excellent.

The problem with the whole PGP upgrade is: I like the stock barrel (both bore and length), I don't want DF (and I see nothing wrong with the current feed tube), I'd much prefer the ultra quick strip to just the quick strip that comes with the PGP upgrade, and when I get the UQS, they're going to replace the bolt anyway so I just see the whole PGP upgrade as a huge waste of money for me... unless the replaced barrel and bolt are just so much better it's worth the extra $115.

Opinion?

You know where to go if you ever want to sell that. I wouldn't mind having it back....
