Back bottle Squall

Anyone bought one yet or seen one in the wild? I've been thinking about getting one with a side tube feed since the passenger side is open now.

I think you'd be looking for more of a stroker than a squall

Well, a stroker is a Sheridan conversion, a Phoon/Squall would be scratch built.

In any case, I think you might run into an issue with air routing since they'd probably run the air line from back bottle to valve along the passenger side. I figure you'd only be able to kick the feed tube into an offset 45 degree position rather than all the way down at the 3 o'clock position.

Yeah..not sure how well that will work out within the realm of doable funds. I'm sure it can happen but can you afford it?

For those unaware of their existence...

Lookie here:

Squall [PPSP103] - $790.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something

I'm guessing this is the result of the "no more 12g in the gun" policy PPS adopted awhile back.

Price would def be an issue and something I may have to throw a bonus from the job at.

That is not true. I am having a pug built for me right now that is 12g in the lower tube. They only do shoot to pierce now though.

Hey man.

Yeah I know that. I called about having a 12g gun built and had no issues. My point was just that I figured the BBA squall was a product of that "policy".

Whatever the reason for its existence, I wondered if anyone had one or had seen one before. I figured it'd be pretty playable with a bucket changer and maybe could add a 3oz tank on there or something larger if you wanted. I was looking to see if anyone had attempted this and what the weight and balance was like.

Was there some catastrophe with an Insta-pierce?

From what I have heard there was issues with different 12g lengths and sealing issues. Long story short they did not want dozens of more people comming to them with "broken" guns just because of 12g inconsistancies. This is what I heard.
