O-Ring Replacement on a Painter

Hey folks,

Picked up a Painter that has a case of leaky-down-the-barrel-syndrome. I was going to order a PPS kit and replace the valve o-rings to see if that fixes it. My question is - what's the difference between servicing a PPS gun and a Sheridan? I've rebuilt a bunch of Sheridans now but I've got to assume the valve (at least) is different in PPS scratch-builds.

Thanks,
Matt

The major differences in PPS guns are mostly found in the autococking platforms that have an LPR integrated into the lower tube. Your Painter should be almost exactly like a Sheridan, with the addition of a valve retainer set screw in the bottom of the valve.

Ah-ha, so we're going Sheridan-meets-Cocker. That... should actually make things easier, lol.

You should be able to fix the valve with sheridan seal kits.. And an auto cocker valve pin or lanceless sheridan valve

012 oring

The kit you need with a tuned pin.
