.680 or .685?

So I may be, hypothetically, toying with possibly getting in on the current sale with a Super Stocker-esque build. The question for the class is: .680 or .685 barrel? Knee-jerk reaction is .680 (and I do shoot a lot of Evil) but I've found a lot of paints lately to be in the .685+ range. Thoughts? Feelings? 80's pop song lyrics?

Or go in between say .683 with wedgit so if you get .688 your still good :)
And more expensive built for you :P

If you're getting a full barrel, I'd think .685, just because of the versatility. However, there is a lot of small paint out there... If I were getting a full barrel, I'd go with the .685, but add the wedgits, or use an additional breach sizer, like one from Lapco. I have a .676 sizer that I sometimes use with an old POS cocker barrel that has an ID somewhere in the .7 range (I kid you not...) that works surprisingly well in terms of both accuracy and efficiency. It's just loud as hell, not being ported.

And since you asked, and I can't get it out of my head:

I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder

Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive

CHORUS:
I was struck by lighting
Walkin' down the street
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party
Who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door . . .
(Don't run away it's only me)

All dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man
Waitin' for an invitation to arrive
With a dead man . . . Dead Man . . .

Got my best suit and my tie
Shiny silver dollar on either eye
I hear the chauffeur comin' to the door
Says there's room for maybe just one more . . .

CHORUS

Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me . . .

Sorry, I was looking at this for a fixed-barrel marker build. That song is an earworm though!

Just was announced on their site. Probably need to call em. Totally doable with super stocker feed...

.685 with wedgits. Sounds good

.680 is the new .685. and pink is the new black. paint is so small these days that its becoming harder and harder to not justify going with the smaller bore.

Donut - Leaning towards it. That Painter (the most lethal marker I've owned) was set up that way and I don't remember having any rollouts...

It's funny because that's what everyone says... and yet I just tested out a bunch of paint for my other fixed-barrel .680 marker and found:

- Marballizer: .683
- Graffiti: .686
- Premium: .684ish
- Stinger: .685-.688
- Heat: .684 - .687
- Formula 13: .685

According to Titus the Nelson stuff is also all .685+. Evil is still pretty small but certainly won't complain about being shot through a larger barrel...
