The Thompson-style grip narrows toward the front. The rail is actually parallel to the lines of the body.

I think he might have meant the AFG...

If that's what dun meant, the AFG is part of the magpul style of rifle egros.

I see what you're talking about. Maybe BOS or whoever used the carry handle rail and cut the one portion off?
