P219

So a buddy of mine is offering me a "good deal" on P219 that needs some work. Besides the usual, what concerns me is the feeder neck being held on with JB weld. Can Palmer fix this? Will it be an additional charge on top of the factory rebuild?

If you have had things done by them in the past, I'm all ears... or eyes...

Only way to find out is to give them a call.

I'm curious as to the cost of this "good deal". It looks like you've got several issues going on with this one. A factory rebuild runs $125 plus shipping both ways. The feed neck repair will most likely be extra, but give them a call and see how much. I'd do that before you paid anything for it.

?

What is the difference between an "actors" rebuild and a "factory" rebuild.

I was told a factory rebuild would be $200 plus shipping both ways. I just need it to work and get the neck fixed.

He meant factory... it was probably an autocorrect issue.

Also, I don't think they could braze the feed back on without removing the plating in the area. So finish (looks) could be an issue for you after that fix.

Definitely call them and explain what you need done and see what it would cost.

Whoops! Yeah an auto correct error, sorry. Last time I inquired about the rebuild it was 125 plus shipping both ways.

Thanks guys! $125 would be a deal, but I'm fairly certain they said $200. I will call them today. In the meantime I am closing the deal on a different one, but I will most likely still pursue this as a backup and momento for me.
