Should i loctite the asa back in?

Very happy that I was able to defeat the dreaded red Loctite! A little heat and lots of elbow grease. Had a little bit of a tool mark from the ASA spinning in the collet, not too bad though. Apparently you need to tighten the hell out of it to keep it from moving... lesson learned.

So now the question is when I put it back, should I Loctite it? Maybe with blue instead of red?

What do you guys think? What have you guys done?

A picture of my triumph...

I would use atleast some blue loctite. To prevent it from backing out with a bottle screwed in.

I guess I would use blue. If it comes loose..use red. I would almost use red right off the bat because those things do better if they stay put and arent messed with much.

It's a bitch to get apart but they use red for a reason there. I've tried blue on similar setups and had the bottle hold on enough to unscrew that fitting. If you're putting a reg in there and leaving it alone then you'd probably ok with blue. If you're going to be screwing a tank in and out I'd go red.

Thanks for the input guys. I really don't plan on putting a bottle into it. Just a 12g changer and maybe a reg in the future. You never know I guess. I suppose I know it'd be best to go with red... but it hurts just thinking about having to take it apart again. Plus I already have a bottle of blue.

Got it all back together. Decided to try blue. If it ends up not holding I'll switch to red.

Took a few shots in the backyard and so far so good. Shots per 12g seems pretty bad, maybe 16-20? Lot of fun to shoot though.
