Which seal kit to get?

I have a Palmerized Sheridan that is leaking and I need to get a seal kit for it, but I am not sure if I want the 12 gram or CA kit.

The gun was originally a P68SC, but it has a number of mods done, and I am not sure if any of those would mean I need the CA seal kit instead of the 12 gram. Anyways, the work done that would possibly affect this would be:

Vertical ASA installed
Performance tuning and valve reworked
Rear velocity adjuster

Here is a pic of the gun

Thanks for any help.

You could always call PPS and ask. If you are running 12 grams get the 12 gram kit (has a pierce pin for the 12 gram), if you are running CA get the CA kit.

I would get the CA kit.

Ah yes, now that you say that about the pierce pin it all becomes clear. Thanks!

That depends on your P68SC. Cartridge valve or old style valve?

I do not know. Is there any way to tell without a valve tool? If it matters, I bought it new around '98 I'd say.

That's a tough call. It really depends on how they did the VA conversoin. Judging by the placement there might be a custom assembly in there that replaces the chamber plug. It's *probably* a CA type valve but there might be some additional seals you need.

Seal Kit,PPS Pumpers - CA [PPG105] - $14.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something

The CA kit,,, That gun has been converted,, it no longer uses 12 grams.

If it were a P68 with the side tube,,, then you will end up with an extra oring.

Thanks a lot! I knew I could call and get the info but since I have about 3 months to fix the gun I figured I could wait for an answer here.

I'll be ordering the kit and a valve tool in a couple days, I just hope I can keep the order under $100 but there are so many wonderful toys....
