 | My KP3 has the gloss black powdercoat. It's pretty durable except where it's worn slightly from hanging on the pegboard (I've since heatshrink-wrapped the pegs). Slight wear from the pump handle as well, but it's just changed the glossy finish to more of a matte. I have a matte nickel finish on my Stroker and gloss nickel on a Typhoon. They're both pretty indestructable.

| Bunch of votes for matte nickel: One nice thing is that the black zinc goes OVER matte nickel plate! Technically I get both. I will probably end up going with the black zinc finish. It seems the best of both worlds for what I want. Anyone have any pictures of recent black zinc PPS acquisitions for me to oogle?! Speaking of oogling: Curt, how the heck did Vivian let you post those pics in your gallery???

It's relaxing in the evenings. As for the choices you were thinking about, I really like the way that black zinc finish looks on PPS guns. I tend to prefer a smooth finish to a textured one, so the wrinkled powdercoat doesn't do it for me. I have heard a lot about powdercoating chipping or not lasting as well as people would like. Just food for thought. Matte nickle is classic, nice, and wears very well too.

| nice Jimmy!!! black is where it's at for me. i know the matte nickel is by far the most popular but i don't care for it as much as the black.
