I haven't gotten my black zinc order in yet, but I did get my gloss powdercoat Stroker from PPS the other day. It's nice and shiny and looks durable, but for some reason it just reminds me of spray paint that was put on thick.

My Ditto Deuce has black wrinkle powdercoat from KPCS, and it looks great (especially in contrast with the gloss black anno'ed stock Phantom parts). So far I haven't had any problems with chipping or scratching and it seems pretty durable as well.

I'm pretty sure Mad Customs does nickel plating as well, FYI.

I haven't seen any Duracoat in person, but that's another option. From the pictures I've seen though, it also seems to resemble a heavy painting than a plating.

Can the Black Oxide finish be done to an older nickel plated marker?

If you go with the Black Zinc on a pump gun, then you will have wear from the pump handle rubbing.

Both guns I've got (Pug and Typhoon) are both matte. I like the duribility of it just fine, plus I like the look. My two cents.
