Nice pics toolman. Wish all the closeups posted on the site were that clear.

Put any thought into using a smaller 3-way assembly? (as long as your re-thinking the design anyway..)

I'm toying with making a slider type trigger for the KP's in which we could put the 3-way horizontal rather then vertical.... then you could hide it in the stock

I get what you are saying, Jimmy, but I can see some benefit to the relative flexibility of the Z bracket. I have, to my knowledge, never had a whack or a bump take a Hurc out of tune in a game, even the Hurc that I basically broke in two continued to shoot and eliminate opponents.

On the other hand, I have gotten some Hurcs in need of restoration that just needed a little bend of the malleable brass bracket. Bending the trigger bits makes me more nervous. That pot metal can be brittle and some of those welds...

Placing the switch horizontally might well permit both a more solid mount and a certain flexibility (simply unscrew it?) depending on the trigger mechanism.

Keep us posted.

PS: I agree with NSD2's evaluation of the Squallicane. Hurcs want paint so they can shoot it. The more paint and air you feed your Hurc, the happier she will be.

I remember reading that Glen came up with a slider type setup, not sure if it was on "Camille" though..

Camille should have had something like what was found on Hurc 62... Drum confirmed that 12 originally had this 3-way setup also... this is that soldered on tube Drum was talking about..

He's also got a KP-3 he's going to be Hurricaning...eventually, but he really wants a set of pirate pistols to play around with. Besides, I can't remember the last time he shot more then 30 rounds in a game no matter what he was using.

EDIT: Except the game he played with my 'Borg for giggles and I put it on F/A 25 BPS.

I think Jimmy is right about Camille, but I will ask him next weekend. ()

It looks to me as if Camille had a "dangling" switch.... hidden under that rubber cover.

I hate to say it, but Camille is the ugliest piece of priceless, beautiful, wonderful history I've ever seen.

Little known Camille fact: The wood "stock" came to the project as a hunk of 2x4 lumber.
