| Hurricane owners: I need some pics! Alright, my friend is looking into getting some wood and some Strokers and making a pair of pirate Squallicanes. We're trying to figure out if the new placement of the 3-way is something we could do on our own (We've got access to his girlfriend's Dad's shop, which has all the necessary tools-he's a professional machinist), or something we're better off having Palmers do. So, what we need is a few pictures of how the 3-way is mounted to the stock and the trigger group. If any 'Cane owners would be nice enough to get us some pics, it'd be very much appreciated (We know roughly how it works already, we just want some pics so we can visualize better)

| Not sure what "new" way of mounting the 3way you speak of, but here is`a nice exploded view of a first generation Hurc. The most common method for attaching the`switch is via the "Z" bracket, pictured at lower left attached to the 3way. ![]() Good luck with the project and keep us updated on your progress, preferably with pictures. | Wow. My friend and I just spent our entire daily walk trying to work out the logistics of making a pirate Squallicane (Arr!), and neither of us thought of a simple Z-Bracket. We thought of tapped chokes in the wood, free-floating mounts, bolting it to the gun, all that...that's what we get for being University students, I guess. Anyways, that's perfect Drum, thanks, exactly what we needed. And it looks like it works exactly how we thought it would. And, don't worry, there shall be pics. We're both embarking on a number of projects involving wood, Sheridans and, for me at least, levers this summer, in prep for some old-school badassery at Flagswipe's Day of the Dead in the fall.

| Cool. FWIW, Glenn used to use a different approach (a tube with a slot that was welded to the bottom tube at right angles), but found that securing the switch too securely to the gun caused certain problems, not the least of which were difficulties in tuning the trigger and a fragility to shocks from drops, etc. Again, good luck. | by adjusting the fork tangs on the trigger plate.... I was trying to make it less adjustable... Like if you drop the gun or twack it on a tree limb or something it'll stay in time better.... Not that its a problem, just my own swing on PPS's design... My trigger plate will look like 138's the bottom hurc.. |

| Every Dog has its Day | I would really not recommend getting a squallicane. After owning one for awhile, I have found that they are fun guns but not practical at all. If you need any more info, PM me. No I wont sell mine to all the vultures who ask me, every time I post this time of suggestion. |
