If you are 12graming it then you might consider using the changer that hangs past the front of the barrel. It is pretty nice to be able to grip that changer for some good turning.

Honestly I think that any kind of drop out slot would be a shame. Just the regular KP hose from the front of the gun down to the bottle would be best and leave the gun virgin.

another thing with having the fast change sticking out past the end of the barrel besides giving better grip is that it can help protect the crown of the barrel. the changer will hit the ground first in most cases.

i'll agree on the drop out slot. i wouldn't do it either.

I know, in a purely practical sense having the fast changer stick out is superior, but I can be just a little OCD when it comes to stuff like this. When I played with Lego as a kid (ok ok, I still play with Lego) everything had to be symmetrical and balanced.

I think I might just do the fast changer and leave out the CA option altogether, I'll have a wood-less springfed pump that I can use when I don't want to be bothered with 12grams.

Thanks again.

not to necro the thread, but another option is rebarrel, make it long enough to cover the fasstchanger...

i think they'd have to remove the barrel to shorten it anyway, otherwise it'd be a massive pain to get in there to tap for the co2 knob...

If they have to rebarrel it to redo the lower tube that would probably make the guy want to change options anyways.

I can only say what I would do with a Kp2. I would get it palmerized.

No spring feed and maybe no nickel plating either. I dont really care so much that it is original, but i like the sheridan finish. It wears nice.

Keep it orginial as possiable while making it usuable for yourself Frink. If it means moding the barrel or the valve lower tube. do it. It's better to have a KP that gets used than one that doesn't seen any use.

Springfeeds absoulety need detents or they will not work properly. If your getting a springfeed, get PPS to install a feedplug leash. I don't know how many times I've lost mine on the field without one.

As for a detents go with a blazer detent its function much better than the ring detents with a springfeed, plus you wont need to worry about loosing them.
