I created an account at Palmers today..RUH RO !

Ive decided to become a Palmers owner for the 1st time Soooooooo im going to need advise from the peeps that are experienced.

The marker i want will be a Blazer w/ a pump kit so that i can convert easily from mech to pump mode. ( any suggestions greatly appreciated )

1st question, Ive use deadly winds barrels and love em ! is Palmer threading
going to allow this? If not i,ll probably go with one of there Brass barrels. If i do go Brass can you recomend a bore size and wedgit config.

2nd what is there standard grip frame ? I just sold a PTP micromag w/ the ptp benchmark frame ( this was very comfy ) would there standard frame be
comparable ?

3rd Do blazers care if i use hpa or co2 ? And how many shots might i expect from a 12gram ?

4th If im switching between co2 and Hpa, will i have issues or need to reconfigure in some way ? or should i pick one and stick with it ?

5th Has anyone used a Qloader with a Blazer and if so what are your impressions ? (I havent seen any setup w/one)

Thats all for now but im sure there will be more questions. THANKS !

1 - Should be able to get Stiffi's for a Blazer - they don't really have "threading", they're a slip fit, and I think Stiffi makes one for a Blazer.

2 - The standard frame is Sheridan based, like a stock Mag frame - get the .45 frame if you're used to your Benchmark.

3 - Nope - use CO2 or HPA no problem.

4 - You might need to make minor adjustments, but overall switching back and forth should present no problem.

5 - Can't help you there.

Looks like Jordan pretty much has you covered.
I've got a Stiffi for my Pre2k Blazer but honestly dont use it much....it does work well, but the Blazer is so damn compact that it just seemed to throw off the whole "feel and balance". The stiffi shoots better, but my stock and brass barrels "feel" better.

Definately go w/ the .45 grip, I've had both and the .45 is MILES more comfortable.

since you are interested in versatility, consider specifying that you want the clamping feedneck like a Pyre...That was the pyre spring feeds can go right on.

almost any barrel can be turned down to a blazer, but below .684ish you need to radius for bolt clearance. The stock barrels are excellent. A small bor with shallow wedgits and a 'standard' barrel will pretty much shoot anything between them.
old barrels you have layign around are a lathe turn away from also being possibles.

co2 to hpa, maybe some minor LPR or velocity adjustments....that's it.

gripframe are all personal, I like single 45 and double 45 with blade.

i've seen qloadered blazer, but no experience....

Thanks for the replies.

But No one has yet given me an idea of how many shots per 12gram???

I,ll look a bit further into Stiffi or deadly winds barrels. I love c/f just for the fact
that they clean there selves so well w/just a few shots thru them.

While using them i NEVER carried a swab.it just wasnt needed. Thanks agin

i would posit the 12 gram q to Craig Palmer. I have never counted, and I only did it on one occasion.

Bwaahaha...check your settings...I get more blasts than that with mine! [Edit] Oh never mind....Missed the "p/a" comment....[/edit]

I have a Q on my Blazer but no tests yet. If you have it in pump mode....I assume your mounting the Q on top then? (mine is under the barrel, on a forward-mount type of setup)
