Dam Pyre...

>>>>>>> MODS PLEASE make this a NEW thread, titled Dam Pyre<<<<<<<

I had made up my mind to buy a Blazer and pump Kit.But Worpt now has me Leering at Pyre,s ,grrrrrrrrrrrrrr .Choices choices choices .

Now ive started all over trying to decide which Palmers to buy.
Really the only thing holding me back on a Pyre is that i havent played pump.
Since the old days when i played w/Nellies, and Sheridans on 12grams.

I guess im worried about being outgunned.

But i only play recball. I have never used a pump with constant air or a hopper.Only 12gr and stock class homemade stickfeeds w/ a max capacity of 20rounds.

I sold an electro awhile ago (Ion)because it just seemed no fair to the othr players.

I then bought 2 Mags( a micro and a classic) which i used a few times with no affect on my kill ratio.
Recently due to a financial crunch i was forced to sell them.
But Soon i will be able to buy any Marker i want ( hence my current dilema)
Soooooooooo, it may be that being outgunned using an open class pump is not reality ,but just me being skeeered.

The point of this post?
Heck i dunno ...
Maybe its just me trying to talk ME into taking a step BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS of pump play.
The style of play that got me addicted to P.B a 1/4 Century ago <<<<<Dam
that statement makes me feel old !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fog,(< fat ol guy)

If you want me to reply to everything post saying "Blazer" will that make you change you mind back?

I believe the blazer to be a far superior semi automatic gun when compared to others on the market. You have the option of converting it to pump if you want.

Why not have the best of both worlds? A semi with the option of pump.

Think about this - even when you go out with a mechanical semi, you're typically STILL outgunned due to the electro-ramping guns out there. Fire and move, fire and move, just like the old days.

If you're really worried about going pump, then do what you originally thought, buy a Blazer with a pump kit. Best of both worlds.

I would choose blazer with pump kit also. I lke to play pump games. But here in my area, very few have interest in playing pump. I like having the transformer ability!

I carry my S6 into speedball games with no hesitation. Go up against electros, even one-on-one, with no hesitation. Now I've never shot a Pyre, but the S6 is no slouch, and I think it is safe to say they are fairly comparable in terms of firepower. Honestly, after many games I am still surprised at how quickly I can go through paint with that thing; heck, I use a Revvie. Don't let the concern of being outgunned worry you.

That said, I love my Blazer. I'd have to agree with the posts above, if you are really undecided, go with the BZ and a pump kit.

The option to convert the BZ to pump is nice but it is not the same as playing with a PY, that experience is incomparable.

Get a pyre!!!

I considered a BZ with a pump kit for a long time. Then they announced a pyre. i had to sell three guns to be able to afford it, but i got it finally.

No regrets!

Ive got a nice '98 evolution autococker and a nice '98 evolution sniper II -- the cocker stays home in the box looking good and collecting dust while the sniper goes hunting all the uber-electro-gat kiddies.. The only real competition i have found lately comes from other pump ballers...seriously.

Get the Pyre dude.

No really, that way if your outgunned it's easy to change back. Where as with the pyre your "stuck" with just pump.
Besides, they are basically the same marker.
