Most of you probably never will...

But just for giggles.
Have any of you Pyre owners checked its 12g potential?
I'm guessing at least twenty five good ones.
That's how my BZ always went.

I thought I read someone did these tests...and it was much higher than that.

I wouldn't believe that less I did the test my self. as I have with a BZ. The Pyre shouldn't be any different.

All of our guns use the same setup although the configuration can change your shots per 12 gram. Super Stockers can get up to 45 shots depending on temp and rate of fire. While a Squall with a short barrel, high ROF, on a cold day might get 1/4 of that. Two stabs on 12 gram will over expand the gas.
This was in regards to a BZ with a reg on it.

Also consider that there's less room for volume expansion (good for 12g's) with a Pyre. And, it's built-in direct side stab will mean better regulation.

I'd estimate 30 full shots (maybe not full speed, though) off of a 12g.

I'll still run mine off of a 48/45 stubby, thanks .

Yea. I did the test, so you won't have to.
Still, 25 good shot's are fine by me. Need to sign up at some point.

In the pre-release thread, Craig mentioned that the pyre was built with 12grams in mind. Any energy lost to volume (reduced compared to a BZ) would be countered by the flatter fps curve through the cartridge due to the regulation.

Regulation shouldn't be that much different other than the four way valve... Give or take 85psi???=25fps.
That's a loss of say half a shot? About... Yea. 85psi. A typical 170 psi per shot total.
What does that weigh?
