| Nasty painter So I just picked up a SWEET new job. Im making like 4times what I was and im only working 3 days a week. autocad is sweet :] But anyways, I want to have palmers make me a nasty painter... If I have this right then a Nasty pump, in a stock, with spring feeds and a nickel finish is a painter right? Do I have to supply my own stock and trigger grouping? Im just not sure how I want to do the air setup... I dont really like the way this one is set up, but if its the best I will do it, What are my other options? My new toy from Palmer's I have never owned a maker in a stock... So if i had a leather holster to carry this thing on my back... would that be strange, or just to long to be comfortable? Sorry about all the questions :] Thanks. Last edited by French t0ast; 06-08-2008 at 10:23 AM. |

| Congrats on the new job. It's good to reward yourself with previously unobtainable treasures. A Nasty Painter is a double-barreled pump gun that has been constructed on a wood stock. Typically, their ASA is arranged in similar fashion to the one that you do not like. These can be run on remote of course, but a little 3.5ozCO2 or 13ci HPA is hardly noticeable when installed in a typical Painter ASA. It would also be possible to have it set up without an asa bracket. In this approach, one would have to use a remote or a smallish tank screwed directly into the vertical ASA like a pistol, only without the pistol grip. Finally, a much more difficult proposition would be to find someone to mount a smallish tank (presumably a 3.5oz CO2) in such a way that it could be screwed into the stock from the butt. PPS will not do this. I am not sure who will at this point. I would also confirm your understanding that you will need a trigger group and stock, either from a Sheridan K-series or a 1st generation Blue/Silver Streak air rifle. Good luck, D PS: Call the shop for details (916) 923-9676

| Alright very cool :] I just wanted to have some of my into right before I call Palmers and look like a fool Also, 2 last questions, would the best place to find a stock a trigger just be on forum BSTs? And is it true that it cost more from palmers if i send a Blue.silver streak stock compared to k-series? Thanks. |

| You might want to consider what you're getting - stocked guns, especially the Nasty variety, are not for everyone. I would hate to see you spend all that money and then decide, after the 6 or so months it will probably take to get it, play one or two games with it and sell it. Jordan

| I know what he is saying lol. But thats why I was just considering have a pirate stocked nasty... After thinking about it some more im unsure how much I would like a full stock. I need to think some more and make sure I would like it... Hm...I deffently plan of buying a nasty. And It would easier to get one with a normal trigger frame, and that is what Im used to... See if I ended up wanting pretty much the same setup, just with a trigger frame that would be a Nasty superstocker, just with spring feeds? |
