Leaking down the barrel

So I've had a leak in the rock, and the ram for quite some time now...

I've missed using my Blazer, so I took it apart tonight. I mean... Apart.

Ooooooodles of parts.

So.

I clean it, lube it, etc... and put it back together. Now it seems like everything is fine, but now I have a leak down the barrel. It's very slight, but a leak none-the-less.

Where would this be coming from?

Or should I just give up and send it in?

I'm afraid if I send it in, I'm going to change the gun around, new grip frame, new blah blah blah... Which wouldn't be bad, the the other part of me doesn't want to give up in defeat.

So... Thoughts? Ideas?

Sounds like the cup seal.

Do you need to up the input pressure, perhaps?

Hot water bath.

Take it out and fire a bunch to clear the water.

Oil the hell out it.

That works for my blazer whenever it gets hissy.

Leaking down the barrel is almost always the cupseal. Sometimes cleaning and oil will make it stop, otherwise, its an easy replacement. Take it apart and do a visual inspection for foreign matter as well.

but do this first:

remove barrel if still in place

lots and lots of oil in the ASA

dry shoot through marker

it could be just a dry cup seal.
this is a cheap and easy place to start.

Carter, I'm surprised you didn't think of this first.
unless you did it and just haven't said.

I did it.. and didn't seem to fix the problem. I'll try again, or have to replace the seal.
