Switching Typhoon Grip Frames

I have a couple Typhoons and I would like to switch frames on two and replace a frame on the third before selling two of them. I know it cannot be as easy as just unhooking he hoses and hooking them back up again.

What else will I have to worry about? Or, what other problems am I likely to run into or cause by doing this?

Thanks.

Well, these are hand built guns. The only answer to your question is swapping will probably be fine. I have swapped frames on two occasions; the first was no sweat at all. Both guns functioned just fine after the transplant. The second episode resulted in two guns that never functioned the same way again, even after I swapped back.

I was less well trained on PPS guns back in those days, but still, a hand made gun is never exactly like another, even if the same hand made both guns to the same plan.

Only way to know for sure is to try it. If it wrecks the guns, you can always send them back to Sac.

Good luck,
D

If both frames are timed correctly,, it should be a straight accross trade.

You could always swap it if its your desire. Read and perform the tech articles on timing. If its still not to your liking, send it home for the PPS Techs to complete the timing for you.

A win-win-win solution.
