I let it charge about 2 hours before I finally gave in and turned it on. Less than 10 minutes total from turning it on, I had it rooted and testing out NTFSMount with my 8GB thumb drive. Had to dl MoboPlayer to get the videos to play, but it powered the thumbdrive and played without any issues at all. I'm transferring stuff over to the 500GB and will test that before I leave for work hopefully.

Yeah the 500gb passport worked too. So awesome.

I'm in the tablet market and know enough to make a bad decision. I love my Droid X, but would like the ability to use it as a secondary photo gallery, editing source. I like the Iconia, yet I read this article and now more undecided as ever:

On the road with a camera, an iPad, and a Hyperdrive

Thoughts?

I don't use anything other than the battery meter on the status bar. If I get really curious as to what is draining it, I use the built in battery status.

The same. Mine is always over 90% screen.

Same, but I do have Minimalistic Text, which has a text battery meter option (shows 1% of change, even on my d2g). I do have some questions about how polling for each specific percent affects the battery, (I assume more active polling has a negative impact on the battery life) so I haven't been using it. The 10% is more than accurate enough for my use.

i havent really noticed a difference with my G1.

the problem i have is, theres no way to change it from 10% to 1% increments.
