i like both... i phone does seem to be much much more polished tho.

being mindful of the apps you install is key
the iphone to me is more about play, than function. and too many features remain locked up for my liking, rooting on the droid is excellent. freedom to do as you please. however you please

i still haven't found a need to root mine... sure i could but it'd be pointless i like TouchWiz and don't really care to move away from it.

I would root if i could find a stock android rom for it but none exist thus far. They all have some kind of modification to the interfact....

i just want raw uncut 2.2 for my vibrant ... then i will root maybe

I have a Droid 2. It took Verizon until the 4th phone that mine worked correctly. It's a great phone, just unreliable in my experience.

I used the GPS for the first time today. I find that even with satellites enabled, it seems a little behind in what's actually going on driving-wise.

leave your satelites on for about 10 minutes before you start using navigation. usually works a lot better that way.

thats not an android problem, thats a motorola problem. theyve always been known for crappy hardware. the original droid has a problem where a wire under the keyboard has the ability to short the phone. happened to a girl at work (ironically, she sells cell phones)

so, my G1 finally took a dump on me. it wont keep a full charge (100% charge lasts about 1h) and then itll randomly power off and wont come back on because it doesnt have enough juice to boot. then half an hour later it will power back on, sometimes with minimal battery loss. i have a feeling the battery is going bad, seeing as how its starting to swell on the sides.

and of course, with my luck, im out of town til next wednesday, so i cant do anything about it. really pisses me off.

Df if you have the tmobile protection plan they will send you a new battery for free or the price of shipping even if your phone is out of warranty. And if they can't get the battery they have to give you a new phone. Love that policy, I tell you in 2 years this phone is going to mysteriously die, so I get the newest coolest phone. And btw the vibrant has been trouble free so far occasionally it has random apps in memory that I didn't even open but just running task killer every few hours takes care of that. I believe that fascinate is this phone but on version, it looks huge but fits right in the smallest of pockets, it feels smaller in the pocket than my old side kick.

I have the best buy protection plan, and was going to send the phone in anyway as soon as I got back. And I'm hoping to get a g2 since the keyboard is excellent for gaming

I thought that was only a 2 year plan.
