Not bad. The subject is in frame, isolated with depth of field, and they are square to the borders. I like how you added space to the bottom to buffer the subject from the edge, but not to much to that it adds dead space. IMHO because the point of the picture is the subject not the background so i'd crop more of the right side but still keep the off centered look aspect.

The picture is a bit over exposed. Parts of the mans face and parts of the woman's arm are being washed out. Color wise the picture is on the warm size, this adds to the washing out of the subjects and also "dulls" the color pallet of the picture (unless you where purposely keeping it warm but doing so keeps the colors from "popping").

Here is a picture I took to explain the power of depth of field to a friend. Because the glasses are wedge shaped I had the back end of the "focus cone" (I have no idea what to call the in focus area of the depth of field) cutting the glasses vertically, causing the bottoms to be out of focus and the tops to be in focus.

I'd disagree actually, I love the backlighting effect in the previous photo. It works really well sometimes.

As for your photo, Tom, I like it. Nice little candid. It's a little dark however and I feel like it lacks meaning. 6/10.

I really like this. The top of her head being cut off is distracting me. 8/10

Nice and sharp but I'm just finding without context it's just another random person. I also wish it had been shot wider so the hands weren't cut off 5/10

decided to try punching up certain colours and desaturating everything else as an experiment combined with macro photography

5/10. Not in focus at all, seems dull. Not a huge fan of selective color either.

I am not sure how I feel about that one, its a great photograph but it seems to be missing something. its a little bright or there is too much white. that being said, I am viewing it on a tv so its not calibrated like a monitor. 8/10
