whoever can guess what camera I used will get 10/10 on their image.
bokeh is grainy but I like the overall image I'd say 7/10

I now present you after about a week of getting used to it my first keeper image from my new to me 50D.

9/10 - I'd have preferred a slightly different crop, matter of taste really.

8/10 Amazing colors. I wish they were more of the focus of this image.

Grainy bokeh? You guys have come a long way... meticulous these days. Well, I hope my future low quality iPhone4S photo's have a place here. Here's the next one:

It's a carpenter ant on my Orange tree. I had just doused them with soap and water to naturally get rid of them. They were running like hell all over the trunk and taking 'macro' shots with an iPhone is really difficult while moving, I had to drop the focus on the tree instead of the ant, this is the best shot of 6. basically, just wanted to share but go ahead and give a rating!

and a ReEdit on the African Lilly.

5/10 for the ant. I like the colours and overall composition but mark down big for out of focus subject matter. Six shots is a good start but memory is cheap. If you want to make sure you've got the image then keep shooting.

Very sharp and great use of DoF love the framing as well. My only thing to say is that I think it could use about +1/3 EV other than that it's solid 8/10

Here's my first foray into being a strobist. Learned the technique on POTN and have been trying it out over the last few days

settings:

1/250th
F/2.8
ISO 800

flash was bounced off the ceiling in ETTL mode metering off the face

Nice capture. Wish this was taken from a different angle. Maybe showing more of his face. 8/10
