Never taken pictures of people before

My friends asked me to take their save the date photos today. Haven't had time to edit them all so here's one.

Nice concept. Next time make sure the bride-to-be is on the other side so that the engagement ring is in the photo. You might want to the couple facing the camera instead of kissing. Some couples take a good photo kissing, this one doesn't. Also, watch your background. It's busy. The fingers should be in focus with the iphone. I'd like to see the iphone parallel to the bottom of the photo.

edit your face in!

it's a great concept really. i like the clean look. contrary, i find the background appropriate due to it giving the kiss an impromptu feeling, which suits the concept really because phones are pretty "unofficial" as well. if the background is still looking too busy, then maybe use a light colored apartment.

i'd just say yea put the other side up so the engagement ring is visible, and maybe tell them to smile a little, just a little, to fit in with the fun look of this photo.
