Anything on the lens, either side or sensor? all I can think of is a dust spot that is creating a shadow on the sensor. a burnt out pixel will be very defined and I am pretty sure a little sun won't do it. Just a newb trying to help a newb. Maybe someone with a little more experiance can help when the picture is up.

honestly just sounds like dirt or dust... ive taken shots directly into the sun before i knew any better with no impact on image quality.

same here!

take your lens off and check the back of the lens for any dust
also check the senor if there is any hair/dust/ etc.

I had left my lens off the body for about 15mins with out a cover on it(for some stupid reason.....)
and when I went to take photos there was a squiggly line in my shots,
it was a hair that caught it self between the lens and body.

Ok so here are some pics w/the mark/smear in it. I just hope i didnt mess up the camera and the Lens is clear as day, its in almost every shot now and varies in darkness w/flash/no-flash or different cam settings

ya thats just a piece of fabric or something

does it move around when your taking photos
(it looks like it does)
just take your lens off and check on the senor....mircofiber cloth only (I think you know that )

No it's always in the same spot. On the sensor face or underneath? Never cleaned one

You have photographic evidence of UFO's!!!

Just playin

Not meaning to troll, just like to help, and your thread said 'help'... Unfortunately, I know nothing about photography (yeah, I know you posted in the photography thread too)...

Good luck bro! Hope it's just a piece of cloth or dust!
