I have an old Pentax strap that I like. It has a unique older look to it and it's not just black or grey.

Double sided tape...or lots of velcro!

On a side note, I always wondered about that myself, I rarely see anything other than a stock strap with most cameras.

At $80, it's expensive. However, I will say without hesitation that it's been the single best accessory purchase I've ever made for photography. I would buy again at twice the price!

I've been using a Q Strap strap/sling which I like. I took it on a horseback ride and it stayed out of my way, yet accessible which I like. The biggest issue I've had with it is that the strap slides off my shoulder when I bring the camera to my eye. My simple fix is just to wear my backpack over it. I carry a backpack everywhere anyway so it's not a big deal.

For $20, I'm not complaining.

One thing to point out is that you can use a tripod or monopod with this without removing the strap. I don't believe all of the other companies have this feature.

If you are looking for a sling style strap, look no further than here: Black Carry Speed CS-1 Camera Sling Strap for Rapid Use +Tripod Plate Attachment | eBay

For a padded neck strap: OP/TECH USA Classic Strap (Forest Green) 1019252 B&H Photo Video They come in other colors aside from green.

I've been beating the crap out of these straps for a long times, especially the Op-Tech. They are built to last.
