Yep, the metering system on the DTL is actually very cool. It's got a switch on the side of the lens mount that allows you to choose. Unfortunately the viewfinder and focus screen are pretty poor, and 1/500 is a bit slow. I'm liking the Chinon CM-3 I picked up from the same junk store much more - the finder is incredibly bright and it has the split prism that I prefer. The girlfriend is claiming the DTL once I find her another nice 50mm to play with. I'm keeping mine for videography. |
