How's the WiFi work with multiple cameras going at once? Would you be able to see everything everyone is looking at at once? Kinda like a security camera watching station.

My biggest gripe with my Hero 2 is the buttons. They are a huge pain in the arse inside the case. Looks like they improved on that.

I'll spend my money on the new Contour+2. It's more streamlined, had full 1080p and wifi... You can download an app on your android or iphone, so you can actually SEE what your camera is seeing. No more screwed up view points because your mask or whatever was in the way or crooked.

I really like that feature.

That and I can use it as a periscope during paintball.
But GoPro now has this feature as well. They just came out with the app for iphone and will have it out for android as well in the future.

720@120fps? SOLD This thing just blew the new contour out of the water. The fact it comes with the wifi remote is just icing on the cake.

Engadget got their hands on it with a full review coming later today: GoPro Hero3 action camera hands-on -- Engadget

Release video:

And they now have an app to control your gopro from your phone and review footage:

The new iPad app will be a directors chair kinda deal
You zone your camera and then turn them on when you need them
So no useless footage is recorded

Go pro said it will control up to 50cams at once
With the backpac
Since the black comes with it I'm assuming here, I can control my hero2 with it
I could be wrong and need to buy the remote for my hero2

I was right about the batteries not being compatible. Different form factor, no back cover, and lock.

You dont need the remote to use the app with the hero2 but you do need the wifi backpac.

Also endgadget had a link for the release video, an uncompressed version:
Fil.io — file hosting for SMB

All i got to say, is wow, and gimme two! (Helmet pov, gun pov, and 3d person pov...)

And probably should pick an additional hobby for more wicked footage.
