LR4 Tips/Tricks Hey guys so i got LR4 for xmas ....just getting into the editing side of photos. Anyone with some good pointers or tips post up! Thanks |
small steps. ie don't go pressing the double arrow buttons on exposure as they adjust way too fast. adjust 1/3 of a stop at a time until it looks right. Also white balance then apply filters then adjust exposure as some filters make the picture look over or underexposed. Also if you want to get a soft focus effect for portraits adjust the clarity setting it will smooth out the skin and give pictures a dreamy effect. It's handy for hiding blemishes |

I use LR4 a TON! I use it for Digital Asset Management as well as a light bit of editing. At most, I typically crop and adjust exposures, if needed. If you want a ROUGH break down on importing and cataloging, let me know and I'll toss something together. |
Go to Lynda.com. Sign up for a one month basic membership for $25. Watch Chris Orwig's introductory videos on LR4. Watch any others you like, as well! I love Lynda.com. For learning Photoshop and LR, I think you get better bang for buck than anything else out there...hands down. Here: http://www.lynda.com/Chris-Orwig/43-1.html |
