What is a good photography forum? A photography equivalent to MCB would be awesome.

Rangefinderforum is the closest to MCB I've found.

I would compare PoTN with the early years of PBN. For the most part, there are many great photographers that are willing to share information and are civil. There are however, people in certain forums that are over critical, quick to judge, and over sensitive. Check out the wedding and glamour sections to find out what I mean. It gets brutal some times. Overall, it's a good site structured for Canon uses.

Another good site that is covers more than just Canon is fredmiranda.com.

dpreview.com does a great job with their reviews. Their forum structure is like Doc's Machine which is antiquated. There also tends to be a lot criticism and people hacking down to the bone. I tend to stay away from that forum or only use the search function to find what I need if I can't find anything on FM or PoTN.

I have been looking for somewhere that focuses more on the art side of photography, and less on technical and gear end. PoTN isn't too bad for gear, but many posters do trend toward snobbish "You only ever need to buy the L glass that I own and you'll be half as cool as I am!".
