looking for camcorder suggestions

One of my jobs involves giving training to customers. I have been getting more requests to record the training lately so they have a copy (they get to use the recording instead of paying me to come back next time) I am looking ofr suggestions for a camera that I can use on a tripod in the back of the room to record what is on the screen as well as the speaker in the front of the room. I also need it to have a macro feature so I can zoom in on those little parts when we are doing the hands on portion of the session. The ability to start and stop recording remotely would also be useful. I also need it to be able to store a minimum of 10 hours of video on removable media.

I would like to keep it under $1000 to have better chance of it being approved by my boss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
